VIRTUAL EVENT: Committed to Conservation: Africa Edition at 5pm Eastern from The Nature Conservancy in New York
*The event has already taken place on this date: Tue, 05/12/2020
The impacts of COVID-19 on conservation in Africa are profound, especially for our most vulnerable partners and communities that depend on eco-tourism revenue to protect wildlife and to engage local communities in supporting wildlife conservation. This funding has come to a halt overnight, and without immediate action to prevent the loss of security teams and key rangers, there is a tremendous risk of increased poaching for ivory, bushmeat, and rhino horn. Led by NY Executive Director, Bill Ulfelder with guests, Matt Brown, Africa Regional Managing Director, and Charlotte Kaiser, Managing Director for NatureVest, the Conservancy’s impact investing unit, learn how The Nature Conservancy is building diversified revenue streams in response to this crisis to create a more resilient and sustainable model for conservation in Africa.
Tune in to this "The Power of Nature" virtual event via Facebook Live starting at 5 p.m.!
