Tropical Beach Party

The Tropical Beach Party is your chance to warm up with the wildlife.

Bring your favorite beach toy and play warm in Minnesota’s biggest indoor sandbox all week long, and join us on the weekends for some fun hands-on activities with the animals and zookeepers. Along with all the excitement on the Tropics Trail, you can also enjoy shark feedings, bird shows, and Hawaiian monk seal demonstrations daily. It’s the perfect way to escape from the cold and get a taste of the tropics!

- Face Painting – Tropics Plaza 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Tropics Trail Scavenger Hunt Activity 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Animal Enrichment/Keeper Talks – Tropics Trail 11:00 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.
- Animal Close Encounter – 10:30 – 11:00 a.m.
- Animal Encounters – MN Lodge 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.
- Meet an Aquarist – Tropical Reef 10:45 a.m.
