The Arboretum Auxiliary Woodworkers group is hosting a drop-in event from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 in the Margot Picnic Shelter to carve spoons, spatulas and other whittling projects. Bring your own carving tools. We have chopping blocks to use, as well as spoon blanks and billets. Even if you don't carve, feel free to drop by to ask questions or observe how we transform logs into spoons. While at the Arboretum, check out the Skyway Gallery display,  "Arboretum Trees of Yore" featuring spoons carved from fallen Arboretum trees. Please reserve your gate admission online.
