Masterclass with Broadway’s Evan Harrington: Audition technique for Musical Theatre, everything from local theatre to Broadway

Join Broadway veteran and Rochester native Evan Harrington (Amos in Chicago on Broadway, Brian in Avenue Q on Broadway, the Baker in the National Tour of Into the Woods, and Billy in both the Broadway company and 1st National Tour company of Once) for a 3-hr masterclass- teaching you how to prepare for a professional Broadway audition.

Students will experience the “dos” and “don’ts” of what makes a successful audition in the current industry with many tips and tricks that can be used in auditions for school, community theatre, and OFC programs and camps.
Students will need to prepare two contrasting musical theatre songs and bring appropriate sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
Evan will give feedback on both acting and singing as well as song choice and presentation. Each student will be given a chance to perform and view other students performing in the masterclass. Evan will be available for Q&As as well as examples and suggestions on resumes, headshots, and audition selections.
