Homegrown root vegetables are far more flavorful and healthier than the ones you would purchase from your local grocery store. They are packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and can be consumed in many ways- by eating them fresh or as part of a side dish with your meals.

Root vegetables are a great source of vitamins and nutrients. They are hardy and easy to grow, even in cold weather! In this workshop you will learn about the best varieties of root vegetables, recommendations for planting root vegetables, and great recipes!

Site preparation, controlling pests, and caring for these plants will be covered - from planting to harvesting.
