Valentine's Day is celebrated around the world in many different ways. In the United States, lovers send cards, chocolates and flowers; in Denmark admirers send "joke letters"; in Germany the pig is a symbol to mark the day; and in China young women carve fruits into exotic flowers, animals or unusual birds.
Activities include a karaoke love song sing-along, pop-up card making, cookie decorating ($2 supply fee), music, games, and displays of vintage Valentine cards and love letters from the MNHS collections. Support for this program has been provided by The Nina M. Archabal Fund for Museum Program
